Olive Oil Experiences | Olive Oil Tour and Tasting
In a landscape where rolling hills meet the
horizon in a verdant land of olive trees, in Peloponnese, just a few
kilometers from Nafplio, visit an authentic olive grove and open-air museum and discover the secrets of olive tree cultivation. Learn about the extra virgin olive oil
and taste it, in combination with simple products of the Greek countryside. Get
to know all the secrets of Greece's green "gold", how it is produced,
how it is classified. Learn how to detect potential defects, how to use
it, how to store it.
A special agrotourism experience, aimed at couples, families, groups of
friends, pupils / students, companies, small or large groups of people, seeking a different experience in nature. It is for people with none, small or adequate
knowledge about olive oil -an activity for everyone!
Highlights
Guided walking tour in the olive grove and the estate. Description of the
cultivation process and reference to the history of the estate.
Visit to the family's open-air museum, where you will see old olive oil
mill machinery. Description of the old process of extraction.
Video and photo presentation. Description of the harvest procedure, together
with the current process of extraction and modern processing methods.
Olive oil tasting. Tasting of olive oils along with a brief lesson in
recognizing their characteristics together with cooking tips. Food pairing of
our olive oil with some simple Greek delicacies such as tomato, feta cheese
etc., to test your pallet.
Participation in the harvest process (October-November).
